The hours for the free "Twilight Zone" marathon scheduled for Sunday October 4th at The Forum Theatre in Binghamton
have been shortened. The event, which will feature classic episodes of the hit TV series projected on a large cinematic
screen, will be held from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the last episode beginning at 5 p.m.

Opening ceremony with the Serling family and local dignitaries in attendance, proclamations and presentations.

A special presentation by the Office of the New York State Attorney General to the Enrichment Challenge Teachers of the Binghamton City School District's Fifth Grade Rod Serling Curriculum
"The Fifth Dimension".

Guest Speaker Tony Albarella, nationally recognized author, who has chronicled the work of legendary writer Rod Serling in several literary formats. Albarella’s magazine articles have appeared in publications that include Cemetery Dance, Filmfax, Outré, and Radiogram. Mr. Albarella is currently editing an ambitious, ten-volume book series titled AS TIMELESS AS INFINITY: THE COMPLETE TWILIGHT ZONE SCRIPTS OF ROD SERLING.

Followed by...

A public screening of the PBS American Masters documentary Submitted for your Approval: Rod Serling. This 90 minute special chronicles Rod Serling’s life. Part of the documentary was filmed in and around Binghamton, and features interviews with many local personalities as well as Hollywood colleagues and contemporaries.

A special FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK “Night Gallery” with screenings of the premier Twilight Zone episode “WHERE IS EVERYBODY” which first aired on CBS Television on October 2, 1959.

The Twilight Tour: A multi-dimensional, video presentation that will bridge the gap between the reality and fantasy of the Twilight Zone as we take you on a virtual journey of Rod Serling's life.

A commemorative US Postal Service cancellation of their Rod Serling stamp will be available (for purchase) at this event.

The BC Forum Theatre display of "Day of a Playwright"

BC Forum Theatre, Recital Hall (3:00 - 4:00 PM)
Anne Serling will give the first public reading from her forthcoming memoir,
ANOTHER DIMENSION: Growing Up With the Man Behind the Twilight Zone.
This will be followed by reminiscences from varying perspectives by Anne and writer-producer Mark Olshaker, who Rod Serling befriended and for whom he served as a mentor.
 - time will be allowed for questions and participation from the audience -

STOP 2
The Binghamton High School’s Rod Serling School of the Arts:
- Front Lawn Serling Historical Marker.
- Tour of the Helen Foley Theatre (built in 1914) including a special display presented by the Binghamton City School District’s 5th Grade Challenge classes and Serling School Visual Arts students.

STOP 3
A stop at the downtown Metro Center’s “Walk of Fame” to view the Rod Serling Star.

STOP 4
A visit to Recreation Park, the inspiration of The Twilight Zone episode WALKING DISTANCE, where visitors will get to see the Serling Pavilion and ride the carousel. Continuous screenings of the actual episode on large television monitors will run throughout the day.
Meet nationally recognized Serling expert, author Tony Albarella who will be available at the park to answer your questions and sign autographs.

WSKG BROADCAST (Channel 46 / Cable Channel 7)
   
A special “live” WSKG public television reenactment broadcast of two Twilight Zone scripts,
“WALKING DISTANCE” and “MIRROR IMAGE”.
Each episode was written by Serling and inspired by Binghamton locales.
The broadcast will feature local area professional, community and student actors.
